It's an unopened notice, a missed deadline, a document signed because someone was waiting, a condition nobody explained. Neurodivergent adults are heavily overrepresented at every stage of the justice system — not because they make worse choices, but because the system was not built with their capacity in mind.
Those moments are readable in advance. They are teachable. And they are preventable.
